Art Experience

During primary school we were pretty shy about our art and it wasn’t until a family friend visiting from overseas wanted to buy one of our pieces that we were coaxed into holding our first exhibition. This took place in Diamond harbor, and as wide-eyed seven-year-olds we had loads of fun watching strangers take home our paintings. Since that first success we have held another exhibition and our artworks have even ended up as far as Japan, Australia and the United States! We were approached to illustrate a children’s book, Anna and the Whale, and as the short story featured animals there was no way we could refuse.
We left high school with NCEA level 1, 2 and 3 visual art endorsed with excellence and have been nominated for the Creator's Room Exhibition. We are extremely excited (and a little nervous) to see what the future holds for our art.
